Firefox: show RSS counts in menubar

One of my favourite Safari features is its ability to show RSS counts right in the menubar, as in the attached screenshot.

Is there an add-on/extension that allows for this to be done in Firefox?

I'm always looking for Safari-style RSS menubar count for either Firefox or Chrome.
