Firefox spell check not working, won't give me word to choose

When I started using Firefox with my macbook, If I mispelled a word, It shows a red line under it, and I would double click it and it give me a list of words to choose from. Now it doesnt do this and just gives me the regular right click window. Any helP?

FFox > Preferences > Advanced > Check My Spelling As I Type
Incidentally, to show spelling options, try just R-clicking the word in question.

i have this same problem...is this just a bug? right clicking wont bring up a list of potential words either. this wasn't a problem in firefox 3 - only in firefox 3.5
