For some reason Firefox always when I open a docment in firefox (pdf, excl etc) it stores the file on the desktop. How do I change so it saves it to /tmp or simular?

I have search for this and it was suposed to be solvd in 2006. But not for me.

Have latest FF (no beta) and updated Leopard.

this is a tiger issue since Tiger is using desktop as tem folders for internet download.

Leopard has a designated folder for this, but you apparently updated to leopard rather than clean install?

try a new profile for firefox.

ahh well I did a clean install yesterday but I imported a profile from timemachine that I used on Leopard that was upgraded from Tiger.

Tried a new profile in Firefox, it did not help. Will try a new profile in the OS.

EDIT: A new Mac Os profile solved it. Upgrading and apparently Tiger sux.
