Firefox vs. IE... Table Borders?

When I design a site in DW, if I want some of the cells to have colored borders, but most to have invisible borders, I usually set the color of all the borders to the bgcolor and then change only those that i want to show.

Is this a bad idea? Because in IE it looks fine, but in Firefox, the "invisible" borders are definitely showing up... and it looks BAD.

If you set your "invisible" border's width to 0 (or 0px) they should not be visible, anywhere...
