Is it just me or does Firefox eat up more of the battery faster than Safari?

I noticed on the battery-left-timer that there was a huge difference between the two. Hmm.

Safari will use the integrated GPU and only switch to the dedicated one when needed. Firefox will only use the dedicated GPU.

Get gfxcardstatus to force one or the other.

EDIT: Sorry for the double answer - I was typing this when asdf posted :D

Thanks to the both of you. Really appreciate it.

The difference was ridiculous though. I was getting 4-6 hours max with Firefox and about 7-9 with Safari haha

Speaking of Firefox, is anyone else having horrible luck with Firefox 4? I've had to downgrade to Firefox 3.16 because I would constantly have to force quit the browser because I wouldn't be able to click another tab.

I'm having much more luck with Firefox 3.16!

I'm having a ton of problems regarding Flash, but I haven't had to force-quit yet.

It's a shame Safari is so damn bad in comparison to Chrome.

I hope the new Safari in Lion is better.

Firefox vs. Safari

I have used Firefox in the past and liked it. That ended with the newest version of Firefox. Firefox 4 is so buggy that I just gave up and went with Chrome. Chrome is my favorite right now, although I still use Safari at times. Firefox has lost me as a user.
