hi,

What does everyone prefer and why?

FireFox or Safari

what are the reasons (pros / cons)?

(...i beleive Safari bookmarks can sync with the ipone...can Modzila?)

Since getting my iMac, I've used Safari exclusively on this machine, as it works on every site I go to.
On my old Windows machine FireFox was my browser of choice.
Maybe I'm just too lazy to download FF onto my iMac, but I prefer to think I simply don't need it and certainly don't want extraneous clutter on this iMac.
Good luck with whatever you decide on.

tks....i actually use firefox, but want to moove to safari, do you have any problems going to websites with flash players, or videos....
have you run into any limitations

i've only had my mac for a week and half but so far i really like safari, its neat, clean and fast plus i have all my bookmarks easily accesible in the bookmarks bar thats really all i need in a browser. Never really liked firefox even when i was on windows i always stuck to IE. firefox in my opinion has a cluttered interface and is a little slower. so safari for me.

There have been many threads on this topic, below is a pretty long one that a lot of replies that may answer your question.

thank you....

(to answer everyone, i use firefox, b/c i was told that Safari has some limiations (unfortunatly i cant say)...just hear rumors..)

this link sounds like a great source to start (have not clicked yet)

tks again

I thought the race between the two was very close until Firefox introduced the "awesome bar" in their 3.0 betas. I like the ability to use extensions for just about anything on FireFox, and Safari is cleaner and looks better on some sites (plus the find feature rocks). But the "awesome bar" and tags in the upcoming Firefox 3.0 pushes that over the top. I haven't clicked on a bookmark in 2 months because everything is handled perfectly via the location bar. Pretty neat.
