My Firefox (3.0.3) has stopped displaying wingdings characters (for instance, the annoying "♥", or the arrows that activate the date dropdowns in Blogger blogs, for instance, are invisible). Or maybe it never did. There are lots of blank spaces all over my internet browsing experience.
It's worse than Firefox 2, even, because more characters are affected and I don't even see a junk character where the wingding is supposed to go.
What's weird, though, is that if I log in on the same computer under a Guest account I can see those wingdings, and on other computers with my Firefox profile copied over I can see the wingdings as well. As long as I'm in my home account, I can't see those wingdings - even if I create a new profile / reinstall Firefox / start over completely, etc. I've even tried clearing and resetting my font cache- that was the Firefox live chat guy's idea- but no change. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
