Firefox Zoom Lock

I have a 30'' monitor and because of the high resolution (2560x1600) I find myself using the command+ to zoom in on every website I view in Firefox, Safari, etc.

Is there a way to have OSX or Firefox set a default zoom preference so that I don't have to manually zoom in on every website I visit?

Maybe there is a 3rd party utility for this?

Have you tried increasing the default font size in Preferences?

IE has that functionality. Oh god, I'm going to be lynched.
