Firewave - Crash - SL64 - Other suggestions

Good day everyone.

Well i made the change to snow leapord server last night.
And after a bit of frustration with installation i figured out Firewave was the cause.

And after installation went fine when i pug it in via firewire the system crashes with in 1min tried multiple times.

Does anyone have any suggestions on either getting this to work.
Or somthing else that might.

Main objective surround sound for world of warcraft.
This was the only way to do it that i found in the past that did real suround sound. Has there been any new break thoughs or anything.

Or am i going to have to resort to on board optical 2.1 or simulated surround if so any suggestions

You could buy another, far more expensive firewire sound mixer that supports surround sound output. But it's probably not worth the expense. I'm assuming WoW can't send surround over the optical jack?

nope not as surround.
can do 2 chan pass though i believe

I don't know why Apple is lacking in this department.
From the people that brang us ipod's and iphone you think that pulling all the stops with music they would have something as simple as surround sound
