is there an adapter that will let you change a usb port into a firewire 400 port?

i need to import video into my new macbook, but the only way to do it is through firewire.

thanks!

Er... with this in your profile.

Computer(s): MBP Glassbook 2.4/2 GB Ram

Why not just buy a new FW800 cable to connect to the camera.

FW800 confuses people because of the requirement for a new cable, but it still works with FW400, just like USB2 replaced USB1.1
