Morning:

Does anyone know if there is an adapter available to transform a Firewire 400 male to USB 2.0 female?

Does anyone know if there is a firewire 400 flash card reader?

I'm trying to transform my currently useless Firewire 400 port into something useful...

Help?

yeah FW to USB will not work.

I have So called adaptors but its just for the cords.

I have a usb Regular A to FW 400 Female and then a USB B (printer style) to FW Female

(so Makes a firewire cord to work like a usb one)

Then I also have a

Firewire (Male) to USB A female) and it pairs with a USB B (Printerstyle) to Firewire mini )

Its not good for much unless I'm stricken for cables.
Just get a Dual HDD system on firewire and store your Files on there

Use a usb Drive for time cap. as it does not need that much speed.

I miss editing with firewire=..... Wish my stuff was not stolen!

There are (or were) Firewire flashcard readers made. It may depend on what type of flash card. I know for a fact there are firewire CF card readers as I have one.

Do you remember what brand your FW 400 card reader is and where did you get it?
