this week-end, i rent this set of drum mics and a nice yamaha mg124cx mixing console, thinking it's going to be SO easy to set up with my m-audio firewire 410 and my mac os x. i went on the internet to find drum micing tips and after hooking it all up, i realized i didnt have a single clue how to even plug the console into my soundcard (and vice versa)! yeah, call me dumb for thinking it'd be so obvious!
so here's the deal... i plugged all the mics into the console and now i have 2 xlr plugs that (i believe) should go into my m-audio soundcard...? THEN, i need to start up pro tools, make the right configurations and create (i'm guessing) 6 tracks (since i have 6 mics)...?
help me out guys!! i won't have these mics forever, so i really want to get this thing working!!
