i got an old lacie d2 aluminum CD-rw 52x24x52x cd burner today from a friends of mine. It turns on, spins the disk and whatnot. It wont show a blank disk (or any other disk for that matter) in the finder menu. iTunes wont recognize that the thing is plugged in. Im using it on a powermac g4 running 10.4.11 on it. The weird thing is that it reacts with the computer when it turns on/off like it is supposed to. any help?

i cant believe this worked... i pushed the connector in as hard as i could and the blank CD notification popped up in itunes...:)
