I was wondering if anyone knows of any good Firewire 800 drive enclosures.

Recommend Other World Computing (OWC) Cases

I tend to wind up buying OWC's enclosures after the checking at Newegg and eBay.

My last cases have been OWC's Mercury AL Pro's with SATA internal I/F and eSATA, USB 2, FW400 and FW800. My newer MBPs & Mini HTPC have FW800.

Check out these two links at OWC for specials.

OWC Tips & Deals

For my eSata drives on my modified Apple TVs (1G), I purchased two empty Fantom cases which the seller had removed the HD. These cases have internal SATA and external eSATA & USB 2.

Newegg Sale on External Case w/all Ext I/Fs

DealMac has listed a great Newegg sale today (Tuesday, 16 Nov); sale good to Sunday, 21 Nov. Up to 20% on Roswill external enclosures with coupon "BTEZZZS22".

I almost bought this eSata/FW400/FW800/USB2 case for $44 w/freeshipping!:D

This is 1/2 the price of other mfgr's cases with the same external I/Fs and it has the Oxford OX934-DSB chipset.

Unfortunately, it has several drawbacks as noted in the feedback. However, I still may get it - got until Monday to bite the bullet.

OWC Garage Sale

Timing is everything. OWC is having a "Garage Sale" including their good external enclosures. I just posted this link on another similar thread.
