Hello everyone,

I've just upgraded my old 320GB HDD with a 1TB HDD for my unibody MBP.
Now can I just use my 320GB HDD and get a firewire enclosure to make an additionnal HDD backup?

something like this

would that fit?

thank you

yes that one will work but your unibody should be firewire 800 and this is a firewire 400 box. so you will need a 400 to 800 cable.

yeah just noticed with the part # it was only FW400.
Will buy the other model for FW800 directly on the manufacturer's website

thanks for the info

I use one of these NewerTech Voyager These can hold 2.5 and 3.5" drives, include all the cables. Get one of these as a backup and you can use it for many different drives instead of a case for all externals - that lets it pay for itself
