I just recently bought a 120gb Seagate HD for my Aunt, she got an external FireWire enclosure for it and I put it togeather this weekend. I formated the drive in DiskUtility, I'm in Mac OS 10.4.3, and everything is going great. I copied files to it and such and it worked like a charm. After I left the Finder crashed and my Aunt had to press the restart key on the side of the iMac, DV+ Edition Graphite.
Now when she turns on the iMac it tells her it can't read the external disk and that it's unreadable by Mac OS X. So my guess is that the drive maybe was screwed up when the Finder crashes or when she restarted the Machine. DiskUtility isn't letting her repair or mount anything.
A quick response would be great since even I have no idea what to do.
Thanks for your time!
