Most of the combo FW/USB bridges are not much bigger ... However, in the number of units the iPod is selling -- the cost of a USB only solution is likely a significant savings. Really a moot point since USB2 is something all current PCs and Mac have. But it is another kick in the ass for the lagards to upgrade.
