Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with my Black intel macbook (running Snow Leopard), and a firewire device. It's a Presonus Firepod audio interface that is A/C powered.

What happens is the two can't seem to connect. This is a new problem, not sure of the cause. It's not the cable or the device, which both worked properly connected to my Powerbook… I've tried restarting both devices, and tried it with/without various peripherals like keyboard and ext. monitor. I searched apple forums………THE ONLY THING THAT SEEMED TO WORK…

Resetting the SMC (System Management Controller)
By unplugging power, shutting down, removing the battery, and holding the power button for 5 seconds… it resets. Then, Ta-Da. The Presonus works everytime… but only for one session. The next time I go to use it, I have to do the reset every time.

This is bad because it seems to trigger a connection problems with my bluetooth Magic Mouse.

Has anyone encountered firewire problems like this?
Thanks a lot!!!!!
