I am pretty much sold on the new aluminum MacBooks, but the one thing that is a problem is the fact that there is no included FireWire port.

Is there any possible way that I can use FireWire on the new MacBook? Is there an external option anywhere?

theres a small (and in my mind very doubtful) hope that the Ethernet port could double as firewire... but i don't think apple has allowed it.

A good time for some third party to rake in the dough.
with what?

With some kind of workaround that no one has thought of and doesn't exist. :D

Maybe someone will come out with a wireless firewire hub. It wouldnt be the fastest way to transfer files but i think it would be possible.
