does anybody know about the message "FireWire runtime power conservation disabled (2)" showing up when booting in Safe Mode? Is this normal? It shows up on a MacPro 3.1 f.e. under Lion and Mavericks. (Other OS's I did not test yet) . If this is an error how can it be fixed? (Googling showing me a lot about Hackintoshes but this is a real Mac... )

thx

I couldn't say whether it's "normal" or not.

But a question:
When you boot back into "regular" mode (not "safe" mode), do your firewire devices still work ok?
If so, I wouldn't worry about it.
