Fireworks CS3 Font Issue

For some reason Fireworks CS3 has some issues with displaying some fonts from the Font Book.

Both a friend and I have identical machines and for some reason, he can get certain fonts to show up in Fireworks and I cannot. The font we are trying to install is opentype, so I cant figure out what the issue is.

Has anyone had any issues with certain fonts showing up in Fireworks? Is there a max for the number of fonts it can display?
