I have a FireXpress 250SDX Firewire/USB2.0 drive from here: http://www.compucable.com/firewire/embed.asp?stuff=se_fx_usb2_body.html
Whenever I am using the Firewire connector, it does not seem to detect under OS 10.3.3 The problem goes away when I plug BOTH the firewire connector and a USB connector. Does this mean that the firewire port on the 12" PB does not provide enough juice to power the drive?
I also used it on my Dell PC with a Firewire Addon card and it does not have problems powering the drive.
Any reason for this?
BTW, the more queer thing is that I WAS able to access the drive using only the Firewire connector in the past.
