Firmare 2.0 Questions

Hi. I'm always listening things about firmware 2.0, but I still can't understand one thing. If that firmware version, allows to install 3rd party apps, whats the point on jailbreaking it?

For example, customize, intelliscreen, summerboard, terminal... anything that modifies the iPod OS itself. Also, porn, and other inapropirate stuff would be blocked.
