Hi everyone,
Got a faulty iMac (late 2007) 20" 2GHz, it makes the SOS tones so I thought I'd give it a go at repairing it.
Downloaded the Firmware Restore CD 1.6, burnt it to disk, put the CD in and the drive accepts it no worries, it spins up the disk for a while, then nothing happens, the disk just keeps on spinning inside the Super drive.
So I'm thinking probably something was wrong with the CD, and want to eject it, but because the firmware is stuffed, you can't eject it by holding the mouse button down, and there is no other software that runs at all to eject it.
What should I do now? Tried to stick a credit card in there and stop the disk from spinning and somehow trigger the eject and that didn't work either.
