Hey guys ! , long time reader first time poster here .

i had updated a ipod touch 2g last year to a 2.2.1 os using quickfreedom 2 months ago . but the total available space has reduced from around 7.3 [?] to 7.01 now . where did the space go ?

now i updated it to 3.0 os by dwnloading the firmware without paying and its working fine with still 7.01 gb total space but it also shows 145 mb occupied with other .
i hape no apps or any vids or songs in it . only 4 images
how to get back to my original Total space of around 7.3 ?
what is the 145 mb other

The difference in space you saw was because of different sizes of the OS. That 145mb might be if you have a calendar or contacts synced to the phone.

But i ony put one contact in ipod and i dont use calender also , i've only put one birthday reminder.they also are set not to sync . why is it taking so much space ?

should i reformat it or reset it or something ?
