I just did the EMI Firmware update for my 20" Intel iMac last night without a problem.

My normal sleep procedures include logging out first. I logged out and told the unit to sleep earlier this afternoon. I came back tonight and found that the system did not go to sleep but froze midway in the sleep procedure.

After a successful hard shutdown and reboot, I tried the procedure again and the system went to sleep as normal.

Would this be considered a one time anomaly or did something go goofy in the firmware update? I have had this unit for a month without a problem.

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it for now. If it happens again, check back. :)

What I found ironic was that the update stated it was to correct sleep and awake problems. I had none beforehand. Then after the firmware update, that happened
