Firmware updates?

I'm new to Macs, so be nice. How do I check for firmware updates? I know tere were some for the new MacBooks, but I don't know if I need them or not.

There is an Apple in the top left corner of your computer. Click on it and then select software update. Follow the directions.... Done.

I guess that is easy. I didn't know they were downloaded with Software Updates, thanks for the info.

Whenever you do the firmware update. Always remember to properly follow the steps otherwise it'll corrupt the file update...
