Apple has some very specific instructions on how to run first aid in disk utility. Strangely, you're suppose to start at the bottom and move your way upward. Starting with volumes, then containers and finally disks. If such a complicated chain of actions is required, why do they not hide that behind a simpler method? Either way.. Some details are left unanswered:
* What about system snapshots of system volume? Should that be handled like another volume?
* What about volume groups?
* What order should be used with multiple containers? All volumes in all containers first or all volumes in one container at a time, starting at the bottom?
Simplest solution seems to be just starting at the bottom and move up one item at a time.
