Has anyone experienced this? The first click I make after starting either Firefox or Camino (both Mozilla based, I know) completely locks either program up for 30-40 seconds, complete with the spinning beach ball. It did not do this when I first go my Mac (about five weeks ago), but I can't imagine what's causing it because I don't really have much installed.

I'm using a Xeon Mac Pro 2.66GHz.

Try opening Disk Utility, selecting your hard disk and repairing disk permissions...

You might have a corrupt profile. To check this, try moving the Profiles folder inside ~/Library/Application Support (where ~ is your home folder) to the Desktop (or anywhere else), then relaunch. Does the problem go away?

If it does, you'll probably want to copy a few files over to your new profile - one being the bookmarks file. This is called "bookmarks.html".
