For sure it was a hardware issue as I heard buzzing on that side of the speaker and then after 1 minute it stopped working.... Anyone else had this issue?

Since stock is very limited on the base m1 air, will Apple reserve any priority stock or carry some extra stocks in the back just for replacement?

Since I only used it for 3 hours should I just refund this and order a new one or have genius bar fix it for me?
If the store has them in stock, I’d just return it. I haven’t heard that being a common issue.

Stores might be limited, in Southern Florida they are waiting for a new shipment in the future i was told.
just out of curiosity, did you get this macbook at a store?

Honestly, I know it sucks, but don't "hold to it" just because you don't want to wait 1 or 2 weeks again.

Take it into the store and have them look at it. If they do not have a replacement in stock have them order one and hold onto your system until the replacement arrives.
