Hi, Apple made me a big surprise last Wednesday: delivered my new 27 iMac, 3.2 i5, 8 Ram, 1 TB Fusion Drive, Mouse+Trackpad. Since it's my firts new iMac since 2007, first, I'm impressed with Apple service. Impeccable. My new baby was delivered the day the sales representative said it would. Now for the machine. Incredibly fast to my liking. Startup time of about 15 seconds. Mail, Safari, Aperture, Lightroom, DxO Pro 8, blazing fast. Dead silent machine. Cool to the touch. Not even warm. Screen is fantastic but -maybe I' fussy- not out-of-this-world as the reviews state. Though it can be a matter of fine tuning. I'm trying hard to master the gestures with the trackpad. Since I only had an iBook -yes yes the Clamshell and still working as a charm with System 9- I have not much experience with pads. At that time what could I be upset about? Maybe Mail with its almost dead silent notification new messages alert. Inaudible even with the system sound at max. And the "all grey" in Mountain Lion. Could use a little colour. Now I have to master ML. There's surely a lot of free information here and around. BTW: I love the bluethooth devices.
