Just got the 16GB / 512GB Mac Mini M1 a couple of hours ago. Used Migration Assistant to transfer from a CCC Data Volume clone of my Intel i7 Mac Mini. Here's how it went:

TLDR - Amazing !!!!

Almost everything ran the first time. Logitech Options took some time, with pairing devices and allowing Options the permissions it and its background process needed. Restored Logitech Option settings from their cloud without issue. The only programs that did not run were Opentyrian and Pinball HD. Opentyrian was a Big Sur issue, not M1. Pinball HD is no longer in the App store.

In the Mac App store, all my iOS purchases were there. Apollo ran without issue, restore purchase worked. Some iOS apps will still have small fixed windows. Lots of non App store programs ran first time, no issues.

The general user experience is very good, even with most programs running under Rosetta 2. Affinity Photo and Keka are universal apps now.

I never expected the seamless experience I got. As the developers build their universal Apps, things will get better, but the M1 system is perfectly usable today.

Very, very impressed. (after a few hours :) )
