Tests start at about 3:30. Confirms 3GB in the Plus. They ran 3 benchmarks and launched some games in between. The 7 Plus will be a great upgrade from my 6 Plus.

I'm surprised this post has not received more attention.

Not only is the performance difference amazing, the display looks so much nicer coming from the 6S/+. Consider me stoked!

Because most people here aren't in Mexico

Wow, those 7's made the lightning fast 6S Plus look relatively slow. Amazing
what that A10 Fusion chip can do with its advanced GPU as well. I'm upgrading from a 6Plus so the 7 Plus should be quite a speed difference.

I'm coming from a first gen 6 4.7" to the 7+, ought to be quite a nice hardware upgrade.

iOS version of 6s plus-- 9.0

ugh, nearly a year old OS. would prefer against 9.3.x

Yep, test is mostly invalidated because of iOS version differences. Ridiculous really.

Yep, both of you will enjoy 3x the amount of RAM, too. 1GB RAM on an iOS device is PAINFUL. It was painful day one with the 6 Plus, so I can only imagine the misery of living with that for TWO YEARS!

Besides games which I never ever play, where will I see the biggest gains then from having more ram on a phone?

Is this real? They don't show the back of the phones or anything? How do we know they are the real 7 and 7 plus?

You can see the geekbench Apple model numbers right on the displays in the video. The 7 I believe said 9.4 and the 7 Plus said 9.3. The 6S simply said 6S. IIRC, those are the internal model numbers for the iPhone 7’s.

The biggest positive from having more ram is apps and Safari tabs are less likely to reload when idle or moving through different tasks/tabs on your phone.

They did another video to compare iPhone 7 (bottom) with the Samsung Galaxy S7.
The iPhone's score is so high the app doesn't even have something to compare it against :)
