First Gen Mac Mini issue

Basically what is happening is curser remains a pinwheel when hovering over the desktop area. Dock works fine to open a program, but once the program is open it can't be closed. Discs can't be ejected... blah blah blah... essentially the system is pretty much screwed. I plan to format and do a clean install, but I was curious if anyone else has had any of these issues with the 1st gen mini and leopard so far. MacBook Pro on the other hand... Man.. this thing was fast before... now... I can't believe the speed difference in startup and shutdown. Programs being opened are so much faster now as well... Very impressive. Makes my mac experience even better. Thanks in advance to anyone that has any info on the issue. d/w

I installed Leopard on a 1.42Gh Mac Mini and it all runs fine. Note - I do have 1Gb of memory installed.
