First Gen. Macbook and Lion - Eaten Alive?

Today a developer preview was released for Mac OS X Lion - Great!

However it currently only works on 64bit machines - Boo!

I have the first generation MacBook (Core Duo - Not Core 2 Duo)

Do you think I will have to look on with envy as only newer 64bit enabled macs get their claws on it?
