I wanted to write this post with my first impressions of the Spigen Slim Armor that I just received in the mail today through Amazon Prime.

If you have used any other Spigen products you know they make some of the best quality cases that are precisely cut to the device. I know there have been some reports of the issues with the buttons on on the other Spigen products such as the Neo Hybrid but I can assure that the Slim Armor does not have those issues.

Pros:
-Phone maintains its slim profile regardless of the case being on it. (I was worried that the case would make it too bulky but it actually feels good and still keeps the slimness of the iPhone 6 visible.
-The case if very snug fitting and you will have no worries about the case slipping off or anything of that nature. Also for case addicts like myself, one part of any case for any phone, I always worry about the piece of rubber that's above the charger port and this case is pretty solid in that area. The rubber there is stiff and you don't have to worry about the rubber warping and bowing out near the lightning port.
-Buttons are very tactile and are not mushy when pressing them. Gives you a good feedback when pressing buttons and like I said earlier in the post, this case has no issues when pressing the buttons like the other Spigen models.
-One of the many worries that everyone is having about the iPhone 6 and 6+ is the protruding camera, with this case on the camera is recessed and there will be no more issues with worrying about scratching the camera bezel and lense.

Cons:
-The case provides a little more that having the phone naked. If you are looking for a case that provides tons of grip, then you may need to go for another case that may have a textured back. While this case is not that slippery, it still has a smooth back and you always have to be cautious when handling it.
-The case offers VERY little lay on the table protection. There is a very faint lip on the case when the phone is installed and I tried to picture that in the images, when you lay the case on a surface on the face, it does provide very very little lay on the table protection but I don't know secure that would be if the device was to take a fall to the face. Keep that in mind.

All in all this is a very nice case, it feels great in hand and offers great everyday protection but if you are rough with your phones, I'm not sure how much protection you would get if the phone would fall face first on concrete. But if you want a solid case with some good protection, I think this one would be a good candidate even though there are so many different types of cases out there. Hope you found this review helpful if you were considering this case.

**Excuse the pictures if they arent perfect, I captured them with my OnePlus One***

I agree with your review. I ended up also purchasing a Tough Armor and felt the slim armor has a more natural feel. The thought armor is a bit wider and didn't offer much more protection. I like the slim armor!

Yeah I have owned a few other Slim Armor series for other phones and they always have been beautifully made and this one is no different.

I got my slim armor almost 2 weeks ago now, and have been playing with it a bit but just got my iPhone 6+ today. I have to be honest, this slim armor version is just a tad too thick for me. Compared to the slim armor I had for my 5S, this adds significantly more bulk to the iPhone 6 Plus.

Especially once I compare it to something like the Apple leather case, that one is much more slim and even though it may not protect as much it is to me a better trade off. Both my brothers handled my 6+ in the slim armor, and really felt like the phone was too big for them to deal with. But once we slipped it into an apple leather case they both changed their opinion 180°. Even though it doesn't protect as much, it just felt better in the hand and easier to handle. Not saying the Apple leather case is the end-all be-all, I may very well look at something similarly slim but higher-quality if I can find such.

The slim armor just simply makes the phone too big in my opinion and quite a bite heavier as well. I may be a little unfair here, but I feel like it is just enough to tip the scales over into the realm of discomfort.

Agreed. The thickness this case adds is significant compared to the 5/5S version.

Another thing that bothers me about the Slim Armor is the flush buttons. Waking/sleeping/adjusting volume is no longer natural. You have to search with your fingers and hope for the best when you think you feel the engravings. I know I've missed the power button a few times and hit + when I wanted -. And texturally, the TPU and the plastic cover are not that different.

Ive just purchased this exact case and now after these photos quite glad i did .. thanks!

That's a good point on the buttons. I was noticing the same thing yesterday. Good thing this case was cheap on amazon.

I have had this case on my iPhone 6 since launch day. So far I like it.
I never used cases on my iphones in the past but the 6 feels much more slippery then prior iphones.

How much thicker is the slim armor compared to the Apple leather case?

I don't like any case that has a logo cutout on the back.

I don't want to see the :apple: logo.

Exactly. My 5S slim armor was very well-made and I was excited for the 6 version, but they cut a hole at the back and also added more thickness this time around. Wish they could revise the design but I guess they would have to do a voluntary recall to be fair to early adopters

WAY. WAY. I mean really really WAY thicker.

I can't use it as a daily driver to be honest it's too thick. I'm using a Neo Hybrid Metal and LOVE it.

There is a serious lack of protection for the screen from those photos. I'm using a Ballistic Tungsten Slim on my case and it actually has a decent lip, though is a very thick case.

I ordered the Slim Armor as my first case when it was on sale. It'll do for now until i find something better.

It's not that it's a bad case, but it IS a little slippery, so much so that it slipped out of my jacket pocket while getting out of my car, which lead to my next concern, the lip around the screen isn't is pretty small for "tough" case. Luckily when my phone fell it only fell about a foot or so but there were some scuffs on my screen shield from hitting the pavement.

The logo cutout is also ugly, i'm not sure why Spigen chose to include in on this version of the Slim Armor, it wouldn't been a much sleeker case without one

As well, the buttons on it are very responsive, however, i wish they were a little more pronounced, while it DOES make for a sleek look, when blindly grabbing the phone you can't really tell which side is up or down.

It's a good case, but it's not my "perfect" case

You have the horrible plastic seams as well.

I like the logo cut out, with as large as the 6 is, I place my index finger on the upper rim to support, lol.

The spider grooves don't open up into the hole, back in the last generation, they claimed their spider web rubber insert was to allow airflow for the battery... guess they backpedalled.

The front lip could be deeper... yes... but it's the SlimArmor, not the Tough Armor. The Tough Armor has the deeper lip.
