First iPhone - should i get the 5?

So yeah... i now have an old Sony Ericsson Elm mobile phone and i am looking to replace it. What do you guys think... is the 5 worth it or should i stick with my old one a couple of more years? It's quite strange that i haven't jumped on the iPhone train before since do have most other apple products.
