Just got my PB 12 pro and I have already decided to go caseless. I do have AC+ so I have that protection. It's just too beautiful to put in a case. I have not gone caseless since the iPhone 5, as the curved phones just always felt slippery when holding them. Anybody else going caseless?

No case for several years. Cases don’t always protect from breakage anyway, unless you have some ridiculous complete covering like an otter box.

I feel the same way, I mainly did cases with the phones since the 6 mainly for grip because the curved edges made the phone hard to grip in my opinion. This design is perfect.

Never used a case or screen protector, and I’ve had an iPhone since day one - Only ever broke one and that was because it had slid out of my pocket in the car and got thrown out as I climbed out.

I found a happy medium :

These fiber cases are so slim it feels like it just gives you extra grip. The buttons are not covered so you get tactile feel.

I used a Pitaka case on my X for all 3 years I’ve owned it. Despite being super thin and having an overall minimal appearance they’re incredibly durable and offer protection in the right places. I dropped my phone a lot and never any damage to the glass, lenses or band.

I preordered their MagSafe compatible case along with the charging station for whenever it’s ready in November. Customer service was great too. So, highly recommend.

How is the grip??

I have historically used the Apple Brown Leather case, on my last 3 iPhones. I loved the way they broke in with a beautiful dark patina. And as I've had Max phones the last couple, the case also helped me hold onto it better. The slickness coupled with the rounded edges made it feel like a bar of soap sometimes, and it was almost NEVER a one-handed phone for me, or really anyone with remotely normal sized hands.

I recently got a new Chevy Tahoe, and it comes with wireless charging and CarPlay. and the charging doesn't work through a case, so I've been pretty much naked for the past couple of months.

I got a 12pro, and it really feels like the perfect size for a phone IMO. Lots of screen real estate, but still a one-hander for typing with swipe. and with the hard corners it is so much easier to hold onto. So I'm staying naked, unless I head out hiking or skiing and the I may throw on a silicon case.

I'm sure the 12 pro max will also be easy to hang onto, but that size is just not efficient for me and my use case. YMMV.
