I have a late-2011 Macbook Pro, which I purchased in December of last year and it seems the left usb port has failed. The laptop has been running very well up until now.

I believe I still have 3 months left of my limited warranty. What are my options?

I'd appreciate any type of input. Thanx

just completly given up working? take it in to repair, you're still covered, apple care or not. (i think)

Now it seems to be working. I rebooted and I've just plugged my iphone into the 'supposed dodgy' port and it's now working.

Whoa, that was a close call :D

I would keep a close eye on it, you don't want it to pack in after the 1yr cover.
