first keyboard key(s) i press when idle initially do not register

all updates are installed. I checked the keyboard firmware thing, it said I already have it. But when I'm sitting idle and start typing, the first keystroke or two don't register. is there a fix?

Try running the KB firmware update again - it's in Applications\Utilities

what i meant is that i tried to install it and my computer wouldn't let me "because I already have the update" or something like that. It's not in the apps folder.
