First Keystrokes Not Registering: Anyone have this rMBP problem?

Does anyone have this rMBP problem?

When I click in the address bar in Safari and start typing, often the first 1-3 characters of whatever I type will not register--very annoying as I'll have to go back and re-type/correct.

I searched around the forums for this but didn't find much; perhaps I was using the wrong terms.

In any case, might anyone know if this is something hardware related or something likely to be solved with an update?

(this is happening on the latest August 2014 rMBP 15" 16GB ram and 1TB HD, 2.5Ghz)

Has it always been like this?

Try resetting PRAM, also see if it still happens if you boot in Safe mode.

It's most likely a software issue. A reinstall might fix it, could also be a wonky 3rd party driver mucking about.
