im familiar with app development and have a decent grasp of .NET, but have since bought a mac. to get introduced into this i have decided to do the following:

in finder , or any folders on the mac, there is a list view, but you can only see very sparse details on each file ( such as creation date, modified date and 3 or 4 others). i want to be able to see many pieces of info, like in windows detailed view, where you can see 100's of columns of info if you want (eg , if your viewing mp3s you can see bit rate, tag info, hertz, etc etc in windows). how would i go about implementing this on the mac? would apple script be sufficient or is something more required?
