I have focus set on my phone to ignore everything when I start a workout, and focus on my watch set to mirror my phone.

Today I went for my first run and got a call and a text while I was running (had started an outdoor run in the watch).

Help?

When you started your run, was your watch in focus mode?

I have an AWU, and while it does recognize that I am starting my outdoor loop, it waits until I either start the workout in advance, or prompts me if I want to start a workout. I don’t have mine set to automatically switch into focus.

It was not already in focus mode

Oops, I read the thread title and took this as a win. I'm considering upgrading to a cellular model because I need to keep getting calls and texts while exercising. Didn't realize it was an undesirable behavior.

For me it’s a win. That’s why I’m using cellular watch. But perhaps for OP it’s not.

Does OP set the focus something like this?
(The app has to be On btw. It’s showing “Off” because my watch is at Apple)
