I was browsing CNN.com, and vertical web banner came up advertising, not iPods, but Macs. (It came up on the article pages, not the main page)

I did some type of animations, and then I noticed the all black banner that simply said, "Widgets: Only on a Mac". (I didn't catch the animations because I never really pay attention to banner ads).

I tried to refresh several times, but it never came back up.

This is a good sign if Apple is beginning its Mac campaign...looks like they are actually going to concentrate on the OS.

EDIT: Ok, it came up on an article on CNNfn, too. The animation shows the stock widget being used.

The ads have been around for about a week IIRC. Someone had a rant about how Konfabulator is available on Windows since its says 'Only on a Mac'.

These have been floating around since the release of Tiger months ago. You'll find them on Yahoo mail a lot.

Shows you how much I pay attention. It was the first time I have seen one of the ads.

Yeah, the ads for Tiger have been out since its realease. I haven't seen "Only on a Mac" before though.

I read CNN.com regularly, and I noticed this ad just in the past week or 2....

Shows how ineffective they are. Not even the mac users notice them.
