I just picked up a new 2013 Airport Time Capsule to replace my current Netgear N router....as well as add a Time Capsule.

I know Apple likes to keep things simple...but wow, they are missing a lot of options that all the cheap routers have.

Very disappointed that MAC address cloning is not an option, I had to call my ISP (took forever) to have them change the MAC address on their system so I could get online. Typically I just type in the MAC clone and I'm online.

Am I just not finding these settings...

No QOS
No logging
No site blocking
No parental control

I have setup Time Machine with a few clicks and all is well.

Setup was easy, got my ports forwarded.

It seems to run well and performs well.....guess I was just expecting more.

can you help to test the file read write speed over the gigabit LAN on it? you can easily find a software to test:

thank you very much.

steps could be like this:

1. Connect your mac to your TC via a cat 5/6 cable.
2. Install Black Magic Disk Test
3. Connect to your TC Drive on your Mac
4. open up Black Magic Disk Test on your mac, and select the target as the TC
5. Run the tests and report back with the results
