I am about to purchase my first iMac (next week) - and if I am understanding icloud correctly - once the iMac is up and running, if I then then transfer my itunes library from my current PC to the icloud, the entire library will then transfer to the iMac?

I also understand that you need itunes 10.3 to perform this function.

Thanks!

You would need iTunes Match but it's not available yet. Just transfer the iTunes library from the PC to the iMac using an external HD for instance.

I agree, just use an external HD drive. That's exactly what I did last week with my first ever new Mac, and the whole process went swimingly.

Thanks everyone - just heard a lot of horror stories about transferring iTunes libraries, if it was a couple hundred songs I wouldn't care but as the title says my library is up there with songs, though I am sure there a are larger libraries.
