First time launch buyer. Getting the iPad 4 day one. Pre-orders.

I'm from the UK and the closest apple store is in Manchester. I'm not working Friday, can I purchase an iPad 4 if I travel there?

Will it be in store even on Friday...the site says pre-order from 26th?

Help is much appreciated as I sold my iPad 1 and miss having it around

They won't be in stores until release day on November 2.

In the past pre-orders have been at midnight, and yes you should get release day (11/2) delivery.
