First time Mac buyer

So I've never bought a mac before.

My HP laptop's motherboard just died so I'm in the market for a new one (def not HP)

I looked around and I think I want a mac but I need a couple of things out of it.

I need to bring it to and from school so its gotta be a book.
I am also going to be using it mostly for creating posters and so on (ie Graphic Design) and Web Designing.

So Dreamweaver and Photoshop are a must, basically Adobe applications.

What do I buy or do?
