The point of this thread is to discuss about the possibility of a macbook/macbook pro release tomorrow, basically.
Oh, ok, this obviously couldn't be discussed in the september 9th thread then...
Nope because tomorrow is september 2 not the 9th.
I wonder why everything thinks that it will be out on the 9th? IMO if its not going to be released tomorrow I'm thinking somewhere around the double digit number date something like on the 16th or 23rd.
Same, but probably not the 16th, that'd piss off way too many people who just bought a MacBook with the iPod and they find out it is being updated.
Why would it piss people off? Everyone knows they're coming sometime soon.. what difference does one or two weeks make?
It will not be tomorrow because when there is a holiday on Mon. (labor day) Apple does any updates on Wed. instead of Tues. not to mention people are saying that it will be Sept. 9th cause there are rumors of an Apple event then, if there were to be an event Sept. 9th then they would more than likely be sending out the invitations tomorrow, which I think is the best you can hope for.
Edit: I do not think the MB/MBPs will be released on the 9th (though this has nothing to do with the back to school special since they could easily just exclude it from the B2S deal and have done that before with new releases) but I figure it will be announced 9/9 and be released 9/23

I guess we have a few more hours until we find out.
either way apple is being pretty late with their updates, on top of montevina already being delayed its really late.
I bought a macbook just 3 weeks ago and even if the new macbook/macbook pro are out I will not buy one as the macbook does more than enough of what I need it to do.
But its just interesting chasing the apple update, its like chasing a tornado or something.

Apple doesn't typically say "We aren't just giving out these to clear out the stocks" and if they did do it on the 16th, they'd be setting that image.
Since Apple always updates the Store at 9 A.M. EST, it's foolish to say that because it's not that time yet.
Of course, this entire thread is foolish because they aren't coming out today. Wasteland, ho!
