Can you imagine people around the world trying to order the new iPhone X at the same time. This is Apple's first worldwide pre order for all countries on 1 day.

So, you got like, let's say, 10-15 million people who are joining the pre order at the SAME time.
You have exactly 1.5 seconds to get your pre order in, all orders after these 1.5 seconds are looking at shipping times at least somewhere january/february. (Just 7 months ayway from the 2018 iPhone)

How can Apple's website and the Apple Store app handle about 10-15 million (a wild guess, I know ;)) customers at the SAME time?

I did not even mention getting the iPhone X via carriers, cause thats gonna be nearly mission impossible, I think.
